This is a single frame of a explosion created in Lightwave. It uses a particle generator with HyperVoxels.
Whats a Voxel? Simply a VOLumetric piXEL. The voxels basically surround the particles created using an emmitter.
This frame may not be impressive, but it looks almost photoreal when the animation is played.
I'm figuring out how to make it look more real, and maybe add some fire to it.
Made in Lightwave 3D v9, with the help of a tutorial from Essential Lightwave 9.
